The Draft of the Program of investment activity development for the 2014-2016 (in accordance with the second stage of implementation of the 2020 development Strategy for Crimea) is calculated for three years and includes 48 events. This was reported by Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Svetlana Verba at a meeting of the Council of Ministers led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Paul Burlakov.

 

As noted Svetlana Verba, there is an active work on strengthening of the regulatory framework.

 

 

"The drafts of bylaws have been designed to the Law of Ukraine" On specifics of investment activity on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea ", also carried out the maintenance projects for benefits under the Law of Ukraine" On stimulation of investment activity in the priority sectors of the economy to create new jobs," – said the Minister.

 

In addition, we work with the credit agencies on the confirmation of the international rankings; we attract funds from international technical assistance for solving economic and social problems of the regions of the Crimea; we assist sales promotion of Crimean products to foreign and domestic markets.

 

It should be noted that funding for the Program of the development of investment activity for three years is 35.7 million. UAH.

 

"The Activities of the Program formed on the three priority areas: the creation of conditions for investment activities, the development of foreign economic relations and attracting international technical assistance, as well as improving of image of the Crimea, promotion of investment potential of leading global and domestic markets," - said the head of the economic department. And added that it is planned an annual conducting of the Black Sea Economic Forum - the Donors Forum of international technical assistance; production of presentation materials and carrying out activities to maintain Crimean credit rating.

 

The Program also has a number of new activities. Among them, selection and registration of business investment projects in the framework of the law "On specifics of investment activity on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea", assistance to the enterprises in development of investment projects to receive benefits under the new law on stimulation of investment activity, business development of industrial parks, provision of industrial enterprises with financial support through the mechanism of cheaper loans for the projects with a new technologies and production modernization, analytical work to assess the investment potential, the identification of "points of growth" of investment sites and the formation of investment proposals on promising investment projects in the rural districts of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as facilitating of the management systems quality, certification of products in the industrial enterprises of the Republic.

 

Svetlana Verba has made an accent that during the Program implementation it is expected to increase the volume of direct foreign investment in amount of 390.1 million. USD.

 

"This forecast is based primarily on increased investment activity and new projects, on the international technical assistance projects and prospects, within the signed agreements with donors and encouraging foreign trade," – underlined the Minister.
