International Technical Assistance Donors Forum 2013 in CrimeaThe International Technical Assistance Donors Forum 2013 will take place in Simferopol (conference-hall of the Moskva hotel) on 30-31 May, 2013.
The Forum is organized due to an initiative of the Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea with support of UNDP in Crimea, Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), USAID-funded Public-Private Partnership Development Program (P3DP) and US/UNDP project 'Community Based Approach to Local Development, phase II (CBA-II)'.
The idea of the Forum is to build a platform for dialog between donors, local authorities' representatives, nongovernment organizations for ITA projects and programs implementation on the territory of the AR of Crimea.
The Forum will bring together representatives of diplomatic institutions, agencies for regional development, international funds, projects and programs, local authorities and municipalities, public organizations of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Program of the Forum will contain following sections:
Plenary section 'Crimea 2020: key priorities of development and opportunities for cooperation'. The items to discuss: key priorities and strategic areas of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea development, current state and perspectives of international cooperation, strategic goals for global overview, etc.
Session 1 'International cooperation – base for regional sustainable development'
The items to discuss: main activities of donors' and international organizations activities in Ukraine and Crimea, development of external support programs – key priorities and problems, technical assistance results for autonomy, as well as key factors and opportunities for further cooperation, etc.
Session 2 'Projects effectiveness: practice for cities and regions'
The items to discuss: results and effectiveness of projects implementation in
the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, further needs and priorities for international cooperation in regions, key factors to select the regions, the most successful examples
of cooperation and projects implementation, etc.
'Contacts Exchange' will be organized within the Forum. During this measure all stockholders will be able to make contacts, discuss projects ideas and proposals, and mark out priorities and directions of further cooperation.
The second day of the Forum will be devoted to demonstration of international technical assistance projects implementation results (requirements) by the example of one
of the regions of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
