February 27, 2013 in the Council of Ministers of Crimea was held the International Technical Assistance Donors Coordination Meeting under the guidance of Svetlana Verba, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Crimea.

 

More than 100 representatives of international organizations, technical assistance projects and programs, as well as ministries and republican committees, local authorities and public organizations of ARC participated in the event.

 

The meeting was opened by Svetlana Verba, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Crimea, who greeted all participants and represented a global map of international technical assistance in Crimea and key events that are planned to be conducted in Crimea soon, especially the II International Technical Assistance Forum (May 2013).

 

 

Opportunity to visit Crimea and discuss results of projects and plans for future found a lot of high-ranking officials. Among them were Ann Marie Yastishok, Deputy Director of the USAID Regional Mission for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Enzo Damiani, Joint Cooperation Initiative in Crimea Coordinator, Vladimir Senyuk, Programs Leading Expert of the Canadian International Development Agency, Roberto Lo Cicero Vaina, Team Leader of the Energy Saving Initiative in the Building Sector Project, and Eric Blayk, Head of the USAID AgroInvest in Ukraine Project.

 

 

Also Adeline Gonay, Head of Sub-Office of UNDP in Crimea, introduced base perspectives of UNDP projects aimed on supporting economic development of Crimea.

 

 

A project implementation summary and cooperation perspective in 2013 between Crimea and Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) was announced by Ekaterina Tishenko, Coordination Office Assistant of TIKA in Ukraine and Crimea.

 

 

Batalin Alexander, Chairman of Crimean Republican Division of Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, viewed perspectives and impact of international project implementation to public society development, as well as about prosper of cooperation between international programs and projects and local public organizations in Crimea.

 

 

Nikolay Gavrilyuk, Vice-President of Farmers and Landowner of Crimea Association, shared experience of participation in ITA project "Ukrainian Project of Horticulture Development", organized by Canadian International Development Agency.

Also, within the event was signed the Protocol of Cooperation between the Ministry of economic development and trade of Autonomous Republic of Crimea and project 'AgroInvest in Ukraine'.
