In the first quarter of 2012 compared to same period last year export of services of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea creased by 44.3% of and by 7.4% - the volume of imports of services. Accordingly, they accounted for 63.1 million U.S. dollars and U.S. $ 11 million. This is according to the General Department of Statistics in the ARC.
Exports of services to CIS countries amounted to 40.1% of total exports to European countries - 24.1% in the Americas - 16.8%, in Asian countries - 16.3%.
The main partner country is Russian Federation, the amount of services which amounted to U.S. $ 23.4 million (37.1% of the total). It is also the most actively implemented services exports to Panama - 8.7%, Cyprus - 8.4%, Great Britain - 7.3%, Turkey - 4.1%.
The volume of services provided by the CIS countries has increased over the same period last year to 58.7%. The highest export growth was observed in the Russian Federation (67.7%) and Kazakhstan - to 14.8 times.
The volume of services provided to countries in Europe, increased by 2 times, including Switzerland - 3.7 times, Italy - in 70.9 times, Great Britain - 11%.
Exports of services to Asia increased by 27.3% due to growth in services provided to Cyprus by 52.3% and Turkey - by 39.4%.
However, compared to the same period last year decreased the volume of services provided by Africa (13.9%).
The largest share in total exports of services were transportation services (64.9% of total exports of services), services, hotels and restaurants (17.6%), services related to health care and social assistance (6.3%), service operations Real estate, employment and services to legal entities (5.5%).
The bulk of imports of services (65% of total imports) was carried out from Asia. In the reporting period compared to the same period last year, a decrease in the imports of services from Asia to 17.8%, including those from Cyprus - by 19.1%.
Imports of services from the CIS countries amounted to 9% of total imports, up 70.6%, including from the Russian Federation - by 68.6%.
Imports of services from Europe (22% of the total imports of services) increased by 3.8 times.
The largest share in total imports of services was services related to public administration (42.8% of total imports), services in real estate transactions, employment and corporate banking (32.1%), transportation (16.5%).
