According to Main Directorate of Statistics in ARC in 2011 volumes of export and import in goods amounted to $677.5 million and $1466.1 million, and increased by 20.3% and in 4.5 times compared to 2010.
The basis of commodity composition of foreign trade of Autonomous Republic of Crimea were products of chemical and related industries, such as electric equipment, machinery, ferrous metal products, mineral products, and vessels.
In commodity composition of export the first place held tanning extracts (32.8% of whole export in goods). Other major parts of export were done by non-organic chemistry products (16.2%), boilers (10.5%), ores, slag and ash (9.4%), vessels (6.8%), and fertilizer (3.3%).
In comparison with 2010 export had been increased due to ores, slag and ash by $58.3 million, tanning extracts by $54.1 million, non-organic chemistry products by $24.1 million, boilers and machinery by $15.5 millions, and fertilizer by $10.7 million. At the same time had been decreased export of vessels ($53.0 million), grain ($6.7 million), and instruments ($3.1 million).
In whole import structure electrical machines amounted to 56.0%, boilers - 10.8%, and 10.8% of vessels.
In 2011 import increased due to electrical machinery by $803.3 million, vessels by $157.9 million, boilers and machines by $88.0 million, ferrous metal products by $54.3 million. But still volumes of import reduced by pharmaceutical products (by $9.7 million), photographic and optical equipment ($4.8 million), non-organic chemistry products ($4.3 million), and furniture ($3.3 million).
