Within negotiations between EU and Ukraine concerning the Agreement of association, including a free trade zone creation, Ukrainian party took responsibility for the protection of EU geographical indications in Ukraine subject to accordance of technical and financial support.

 

   This assistance is going to be directed on capacity development of administrative structures and also to support wine and diary companies in promotion its products with new title.

 

   For this purpose was held a visit of EU experts in Crimea, during which were organized meetings with wine and diary companies of Autonomous Republic of Crimea such as Massandra, Novy Svet, Solnechnaya Dolina, National institute of wine and grape "Magarach" and others.

 

   As a result of visit EU experts will make an analytical report for EC and will propose "road map" for further assistance and protection of geographical indications.
