In 2011, 91.42 mln. UAH - a record number of funds was sent in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea for the implementation of projects and programs of international technical assistance. It is more than in 2010 by 1.5 times.
The deputy minister of economic development and trade of Crimea Olga Krivenko has reported about it at the press conference in Simferopol.
Last year in the autonomy was realized 92 projects and programs of the ITA, while in 2009 there were 30 in 2010 - 50. 40 projects in 2011 were completed, 52 - continue their activities.
"The priority and main objective of the Government of Crimea and the ministry of economic development and trade in the past year were to attract all possible sources of financial resources, which would have a positive impact on the solution of all problems and issues of economic and social development of our peninsula. At the end of 2011, we can say that we managed to get a record number of international technical assistance projects, and a record amount of funds ", - said Olga Krivenko.
The deputy minister noted, that a major donor in 2011 were the U.S. (sent 39 mln. UAH), Germany (16.97 mln. USD.), the European Union (8.1 mln. USD.), Turkey (8.1 mln. USD.), the United Nations (5,8 mln.USD), etc.
The largest number of projects - 25 - implemented with financial support from the United States. The European Union has supported the implementation of 22 projects, the United Nations - 7, Turkey - 4 Germany - 3, other countries and organizations - 31.
The greatest amount of donor funding was directed to support the social infrastructure (30.6 mln.UAH), health (19.4 mln.UAH), and regional development (14.1 mln.UAH). At the same time most of the projects were in the field of education and science (23), culture (16), regional development (12).
The deputy minister also noted that the work of the ministry in coordination of projects and programs of the ITA was aimed to the maximum concentration of donor funds in strategic areas of the republic, which defined by the Strategy of Crimea 2020, the Operational Plan of the Strategy, the Program of socio-economic of development. "Donors are independent organizations that are entitled to send money to the goals that they define themselves. But with the signing of 15 agreements with the donors last year, we were able to send this resource to a greater extent in the real sector of the economy, to solve problem for social infrastructure in the regions ", - said Olga Krivenko.
